Police Sergeant (full time)

Seeking qualified individual for the position of Police Sergeant. Required to possess a Nebraska Law Enforcement Certification, be a United States Citizen, and have a minimum of 4 years total law enforcement patrol experience. Must be of good moral character, no felony convictions, serious misdemeanors, domestic charges or dishonorable discharge from military service. Must be able to obtain all certifications needed for a supervisor position and must be able to maintain certifications. Individuals will directly supervise officers, enforce policies and procedures, state statutes and city ordinances, investigate and conduct public relations. Library Assistant I (part time)

The Lexington Public Library is seeking an outgoing person, who likes helping people, to perform public service duties including registering customers for library cards, checking materials in and out, shelving materials, offering recommendations for the latest books or movies, and answering library users’ questions. Excellent communication skills and a desire to provide responsive customer service are required. Must feel comfortable with computers and be able to assist library customers with their basic computer needs including e-mail and navigating the Internet.


Day, evening and weekend hours required.

Averages 20 hours per week period.
