Grand Generation Center Coordinator (part-time)

Brief Description:  The GGC Coordinator will perform a variety of duties related to the day-to-day activity of the Grand Generation Center including act as receptionist, kitchen help, light bookkeeping, organize entertainment and activities, help decorate the Center, and coordinate Meals on Wheels requests.  Must have valid Driver’s License.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong background in arts and crafts.
  • Strong oral/written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to recruit and train volunteers.
  • Knowledge of recreation techniques (exercise, music, etc.).
  • Understanding of specific challenges of the elderly.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of computer and bookkeeping helpful.

 

Police Officer (full-time)

Certified applicants will be required to complete the department’s field training program. Non-certified applicants will be attending basic training at the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center with full pay and benefits. Other qualifications include being at least 21 years of age, a United States citizen, the ability to work weekends, holidays and nights as needed; possess a valid Nebraska operator’s license and have a good driving record; possess a high school diploma or GED. Must be of good moral character; no felony convictions, serious misdemeanors, domestic charges or dishonorable discharge from military service
