Recreation Program Coordinator

Status: Full-time

Brief Description:
The Recreation Program Coordinator will perform a variety of duties relating to planning, promoting and coordinating a comprehensive public recreation program for all members of the community.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Physical Education, or related field.
• Experience in conducting organized recreational activities and facility operations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral/written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to recruit and train volunteers.
• Knowledge of computer, bookkeeping, recordkeeping.

Salary dependent on Education and Experience

Grand Generation Center Office Manager

Status: Part-time

Brief Description:
The GGC Office Manager will perform a variety of duties relating to basic office responsibilities and operation of Lexington's Grand Generation Center.

Qualifications:
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral/written communication skills.
• Knowledge of computer and bookkeeping.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to recruit and train volunteers.
• Knowledge of senior recreation practices and theories.
• Knowledge of senior citizen programming, including state and national programs.
• Understanding of specific needs of the elderly.
• Assist Recreation Director with programming and planning.
• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Wage dependent on qualifications and experience.

Temporary Seasonal Workers, Part-time

The City of Lexington Recreation and Parks Departments are now taking Applications for Part-time summer Help. Positions fill fast and training begins in the spring, so get your application in right away! Applications will be accepted through February 22, 2019. Positions available include:

● Concession Workers (age 14+)
● Lifeguards (age 15+)
● City Park and Cemetery Maintenance (age 16+).
● Street Maintenance (age 16+).
