Permit Technician, Full-time Regular

The Permit Technician assists the public with information and application materials for zoning, subdivision, building permits and code enforcement; maintains schedules, and provides a variety of administrative support duties for the organization. Qualifications include: minimum high school diploma or GED; ability to work well with others; ability to follow directions; computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)' ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to prepare and maintain accurate departmental records and reports; valid Nebraska driver’s license; bilingual/biliterate a plus Benefits include: health Insurance; dental insurance; vision plan; life insurance; vacation. Police Sergeant, Full-time Regular

The Lexington Police Department is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Police Sergeant. Applicants will be required to possess a Nebraska Law Enforcement Certification, be a United States Citizen, and have a minimum of 4 years total law enforcement experience. Be of good moral character, no felony convictions, serious misdemeanors, domestic charges, or dishonorable discharge from military service. Must be able to obtain all certifications needed for a supervisor position and must be able to maintain certifications. Individuals will directly supervise patrol officers, enforce policies and procedures, state statutes and city ordinances, investigate, and conduct public relations. A thorough background investigation will be conducted.
